Spending days and weeks tinkering with the finest nuances of sound until an orchestral, transparent, natural and lively sounding whole is created: yes, sound mixing is for nerds. When the weather outside is bad and the music to be mixed is good, I can’t imagine anything better. Recording and mixing have been more of a private hobby since 2003; today they are – how nice! – part of my profession. For some time, I was able to gain valuable experience and insights in one of the most beautiful recording studios in Austria, especially in dealing with analog sound technology. In addition to music recordings in pop and classical music, film sound (set sound, sound editing and sound design) plays an important role in my work. I mainly work digitally in post-production in my home studio; more complex productions are created in collaboration with dear colleagues such as Wolf-Maximilian Liebich or Menura Film.
